Billy Soul Bonds - Gone But Not Forgotten

Billy Soul Bonds was a legend in the blues/southern soul world.  Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

This is an excerpt from the Malaco website:  Vocalist Billy “Soul” Bonds grew up in Brisco, Arkansas, not far from the legendary deep-blues axis of Clarksdale, Mississippi, and Helena, Arkansas. He first recorded in the mid-’80s on M&T, and for the better part of the next two decades he continued to release material on various independent labels, traveling the hardscrabble southern circuit of clubs and show lounges, slowly building his reputation as a soulful vocalist (hence his stage name) with an impish, often risqué sense of humor.

This is from Daddy B Nice's awesome website: https://www.southernsoulrnb.com/artistguide.cfm?aid=504   Billy "Soul" Bonds passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Brisco, Arkansas, his home town. According to some reports the cause was prostrate cancer. He was 76 years old. Visitation will be held 3-8 pm, Friday, October 6, 2023 at Brinkley Convention Center, 124 South Main St., Brinkley, Arkansas.
