Theodis Ealey - "I'm The Man You Need"

Omar Cunningham - "Check To Check"

Now I know that just about everyone can relate to this song.  Omar is struggling like all the rest of us and is just barely making it check to check.  "Check To Check" was released back in 2003 on his "Hell In The House" CD.  This verse is my favorite:

Sir Charles Jones - "On My Own Again"

Sir Charles Jones is such a talented singer and is one of the most steadily consistent southern soul singers out there.  Almost everything he touches turns to gold.  "On My Own Again" is a beautiful song about losing the one you love. He can't believe that things are over with his woman and that he's on his own again.  You can feel his pain and his loneliness.

Betty Padgett - "Never Coming Home"

Miz Goldie - "Why"

This is a beautiful ballad. You know all those times in your relationship when you ask yourself 'why?'  Miz Goldie asks why she always loves so hard...why did things have to change when they should have stayed the same?  She says that she asks herself these questions over and over again and the answer is always the same - the way she feels about her guy is the answer to why.
