Big G: 12th Annual Southern Soul Blues Celebration Ladysmith, VA - Part 2

I saw Big G at the 12th Annual Southern Soul Blues Celebration in Ladysmith, Virginia and, as always, he put on a great show.   He's very popular in the Virginia region and is most definitely loved by the crowd.  Big G has a unique sound.  To me, you can hear a little country-western tinge to his music which is mixed with the blues. This ends up being a beautiful sound and I love his music.
Here are a few pictures from the event:

His bio as taken from cdbaby.com:
Big G was born in Charlotte County Virginia. He grew up singing and playing the lead and bass guitar in church. He grew up listening to all types of music but Southern Soul Music made him what he is today. Influenced by such artists as Clarence Carter, Percy Sledge, Tyrone Davis, Roy C, he started singing old school R&B back in the 1970’s.

Big G’s proudest moments were being able to share the stage with such artists as: Bobby Blue Bland, Marvin Sease, Millie Jackson, Shirley Brown, Mel Waiters, Roy C and Clarence Carter.

One of God’s precious gifts, given to Big G is being able to write and create his music. Stone River Records is proud to be a part of Big G’s journey as he continues to grow in the music industry and looks forward to what is yet to come.

In Ladysmith, he sang "Tell Me Can You Feel It" and it is absolutely wonderful!!  I had to buy the CD. 😀 Actually, I bought a couple of his CDs...

Here are a couple of other songs by Big G:

Check out my post from August 9, 2017 which features my most favorite Big G song, Darkest Hour: http://southernsoulparadise.blogspot.com/2017/08/big-g-darkest-hour.html.
