My heart is heavy and my prayers are with Aretha and her family as she battles cancer. Aretha is one of those living legends who transformed our lives and changed the entire world. We grew up with her and her music and although often imitated, she could never be duplicated.
When I first moved away from home, this was the song that inspired and moved me when I was lonely and living on my own for the first time. I'm sure everyone has a favorite Aretha song and I have so many.
