Terrence Davis - Why You Mad At Me (Official Video) [Extended Version]

My Mississippi sister was driving through Meridian this afternoon and told me about this song that she just heard on the radio.  Terrence says don't be mad at him because your girl is gone, you put her out and you know he's treating her right.  He says: why you mad at me? You can't pay her bills. Don't be mad at me, because I'm man that will.  Why you mad at me?  You put her out on the street.  Don't be mad at me, I put her back on her feet!!  Well alright now!

A great video and an awesome dance song!!

Charles Wilson - Baby Sitter

Charles Wilson, not to be confused with r&b singer Charlie Wilson, is an underrated artist.  He has tons of albums and hits but "Baby Sitter" is hands down my most favorite.  I posted it a little while ago:
https://southernsoulparadise.blogspot.com/2018/01/charles-wilson-baby-sitter.html.

I want to give you a night that you deserve
Sometimes these kids get on our nerves
I’m tired of saying
Leave your sister alone
I’m sick of all this fussing
Now when we get in this store
Don’t you put your hands on nothing
This ain’t how it’s supposed to be
Tonight I ain’t trying to referee

Anyone who has children can identify with this song.  Trust me!! lol

J. Red - "Milk"

J. Red!!!  He's one of the most talented and hardest working brother out here.  He produces incredible music and recognizes, encourages, and promotes new talent.  On top of that, he is a really cool guy and a nice man! You've got to see him live in concert whenever you get a chance!

Here's his latest, wonderful-as-usual release - "Milk!"

Cicero Blake - "I'm Into Something"

If you want to hear a beautiful ballad, this is the one.  I know infidelity is wrong but this is still a really pretty song.  This man is caught up in a trap that he's not too proud of.  Both he and his side piece are married but she just won't leave his mind. This part-time play thing became a full-time love. Cicero says that he doesn't feel sorry for the girl's husband and he's even going to help him find someone else.  In fact, he made a deal with her husband, and though it may not last forever, he knows his wife is a good woman and maybe the two of them will get together! What?  Now that's just downright wrong! lol

He's got a part-time woman and he loves her all the time.

Willie James Lindsey - "Life Is Too Short To Be A Longtime Fool"

Heard this for the first time the other day and enjoyed this pleasant surprise!  It has the southern soul feel that I love.  It's a story about a hard-working man and his cheating wife.  She took advantage of her man, took his money, and he even found clothes in the closet that she bought for her other man.  He said that when his money was gone, her love was, too. To make it worst, he even did paternity tests and found out their three kids aren't even his.  That's a tough one.  Baby, I'd say it is time for you to go!!!

Life is too short to be a longtime fool.   I know that's right.

Willie James Lindsey is an artist to watch!!

T. K. Soul - "Ride or Die"

T.K. Soul is one of those artists that quietly steps in and blows you away.  He's been around forever and has consistently recorded outstanding music.  I love him!

"Ride or Die" is a beautiful song.  He tells us he that knows what he needs; he needs a lady to share his life. He needs a woman who is a lady who is fine and he also needs a lover who is freaky all the time. I love a man who knows what he wants!!

I need a ride or die - is that you baby?

Calvin Richardson - "If You’re Thinking About Leaving"

If you're thinking about leaving, girl you better pack another bag - I'm going with you.

Calvin says his girl has been acting strange and he just wants to know what's going on that would make her want to leave him.  She's been listening to the lies of her friends and they're just not true.  He said he will always love her and she shouldn't follow the rumors. And if he smiles at other women and sometimes talks to them, it's just the business he's in. He loves her so much that if she goes, he's going with her.
