Mr. Sam - "Broke As Hell"

I love, love, love Mr. Sam!  You have to give it to the guy for being honest.  He pretty much says that the two of us can't do too much of anything because he doesn't have any money.  Times are hard and he's broke as hell.  Thanks but no thanks!! lol

Check out Ms. Genii!!  Love the cameos and cool words of Karen Wolfe, L. J. Echols, O. B. Buchana!

Ms. Genii - "Tonight's Another Night"

A very pretty song...the kind you want to slow dance to at the house party!! Oh yeah!  I hear "Tonight's Another Night" on southern soul stations but it's easily crossover r&b.  I like it!

Take a look at Ms. Genii on Mr. Sam's "Broke As Hell" video!

Lomax - "Miss You Baby"

Lomax is probably one of the most underrated artists out there.  He consistently makes great music and you can really hear the range of his voice in "Miss You Baby."  I heard this song the other night on Spice Internet Radio (wsir-db.com) and fell in love with it from the beginning.  It's a beautiful ballad and a very nice begging song lol. He's been hearing rumors that his girl is leaving and he doesn't want to hold on to her if she doesn't want to be there.  He's wants to work things out and doesn't want to see her go but if it has to be that way, he wants her to know he's going to miss her.

I just have to tell you, I wouldn't leave Lomax if he sang to me. lol

Here is bio info as taken from ReverbNation:  https://www.reverbnation.com/lomax1
Lomax Spaulding was born in a small town in Georgia. He began playing the guitar, the piano, and singing at a very young age. Lomax’s first exposure to public performance began in the Church. A deeply spiritual person, Lomax believes that his talent is a gift from God.
Lomax left home at 18 and joined the very successful group, “Cashflow.” Over the next few years, he toured with Cameo, Levert, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Stephanie Mills, Rodger & Zapp, Atlantic Star, Midnite Star, Luther Vandross, Jermaine Jackson, Alexander O’Neal, Cherelle, Klymaxx, Shelia E, TEASE, Keith Sweat, Silk, XSCAPE, R. Kelly, L.L. Cool J and SOLO.
It was in 2004, after a great deal of prayer, Lomax returned to his Gospel roots. The completion of his Gospel project led to a reawakening of his spiritual self and rejuvenated his musical creativity.
Lomax’s gospel project led to performing for the National Congress of Black Women, Inc. (NCBW). He performed for the group on several occasions and was invited to participate as a musical guest for the unveiling of the bust of Sojourner Truth in Washington DC at the US Capital Visitors’ Center. He was blessed with the honor of meeting and speaking with First Lady, Mrs. Michelle Obama.
In January of 2014 Lomax was invited to perform at the Hylton Memorial Chapel in Virginia for a MLK program. Lomax gave an uplifting performance honoring the late Nelson Mandela. August of 2014 Lomax had the privilege to perform 2 nights at the Jus’ Blues Music Foundation Music Awards Show and it was January of 2015 that Lomax signed with Coday Records.
Lomax wrote and produced every song on his Southern Soul/R&B CD, “Life’s Lessons.” This amazing CD will get you singing, dancing crying, and in the mood. Each song has received high praise from music critics and most importantly his fans.
Lomax is continuing to perform and write great music as well as produce other artists. He possesses a great deal of heart and passion for his music. Lomax has been performing at a variety of venues sharing his gift with fans from all over the world!
Beautiful!

T. K. Soul - "Caught Up In Doing Wrong"

T.K. Soul sings awesome ballads.  This is your typical infidelity song but T.K. is anything but typical.  You can feel his hurt and pain when he sings "Caught Up In Doing Wrong."

He says that he has to think of an alibi before he gets home, knowing that nothing he says is going to be right.  He wants to do right but he's caught up in doing wrong.  Choices T.K., choices.  He is so busted when he gets home but it sounds like he has so many regrets.  Well, even though that's the price you pay, would you take him back??

"Caught Up In Doing Wrong" is taken from TK Soul's 2014 Life After Love CD.

J-Wonn featuring Tucka - "Pretty Girls"

I adore J-Wonn's music and think he's a really talented artist.  But maybe I'm getting old - I'm not a fan of the video.

Big G - "Last Pay Check"

Big G says he's paid child support to his baby's mama for 18 long years and stick a fork in him because he's done!! He said that his son knows that he loves him and that he can call him every day.  He can always come to him for whatever he needs and he'll always be there for him. But as for this girl, that's it!  He's made his last pay check and it made his day.  I love him!

Don't you call my house
Don't you ring my cell phone
I've done right by you for 18 years
Now go the hell on!!

Like a pitbull on a rope!

Sir Lawrence - "Walking Papers"

Oh man, this is real southern soul and I loved it from the first minute of the song.  Lewis Dee played it on his Grown & Sexy Show and I thank you!! 💕

This is a man who's tired of a lying and cheating woman and I think he's just had enough.  Seems like she broke this guy and he is through.  Here are some of the lyrics:

I'm packing my bags, I'm getting the hell out of here
I won't look back, I won't shed a tear
Cause being with you, I can't take no more
It's over baby, I'm walking out the door
I'm giving you your walking papers, oh yes I am
Your service is no longer needed
I'm giving you your walking papers, oh yes I am
You're free, free baby to see who you want to see

I'm giving you your walking papers, so long baby!
