Bigg Robb - “I Love You”

A beautiful love song that happens to be southern soul.  The song and video show respect and love for his woman.  Baby please don't go, I love you!  Very nice Bigg Robb!

Two Bigg Robb quotes:
"Don't be afraid to tell the ones you love that you love them; today may be your last chance."
"Love is the greatest gift of all.  Share it every chance you get."

Enjoy!

Adrian Bagher - "If You Want To Leave Me"

If you wanna leave me, go ahead and go on
You see I’m a good man, baby
And good men don’t stay single long

Now isn't that the truth!!  Adrian starts the song with him having a serious conversation with his son. The little boy says that he heard his mother talking to another man on the phone and he wants to know why his mama isn't happy and wonders why she wants to leave. Adrian tries to reassure him but his son knows it's not right. He tells his wife that he never once did her wrong, did his best to keep a happy home, and worked his fingers to the bone.  He says that he'd be lying if he says that he won’t cry but that someone else will come and dry his eyes. He says his mother tried to tell him. lol That's right guys - and girls - love will make you blind so listen to your mom!!! She knows!

Here's a copy of the video with the complete story and a shorter version with just the song.

Tyree Neal - "Sneaking Love"

I love this song!  It has a southern soul feel with the traditional infidelity message. lol Feels so good when you're sneaking love!  And, the love is so good when you're sneaking love.  I'm expecting this to rise on the charts!

Here's a copy of Tyree Neal's bio as taken from his Facebook page:
  • Tyree Neal, homegrown native of Baton Rouge, LA. This soulful musical artist brings music from all genres. It is something a...bout how Tyree uses his magical skills of the electric guitar and then turns his voice into a work of art.

Tyree was destined for greatness at an early age. He is the product of a musically incline family of American, Louisiana blue singers. Tyree has played for and accompanied some of the most influential artists of all time, all who reside within his own family. Some of the musical legends that he has conglomerated with is the late Raful Neal, Kenny Neal and the late great Jackie Neal.

Tyree now uses his young flare to reach all people of all ages. From the hip hop lover, to the young at heart. What fans love about this artist is that he combines rhythm, blues, soul tones and turns them into magical authenticity.

Tyree has written and produced his own music which has taken flight to all southern natives and music lovers of all time. His first album, “Steppin out at 22”, showcased only a small snippet of his musical creativity. He has hits ranging from, “Whiskey and Beer,” “Party on the Weekend,” “Shake that Thang (Back it Up)” and “Quality Lady”. When Tyree performs, he hits the stage only as a platform to display a musical genius at work. His abilities and talents have allowed him to be displayed in countries all over the world ranging from London, France, Turkey, and Italy to name a few. His melodious greatness have permitted nominations of top honors, as well as being the recipient of the Blues Award for 2012.

Tyree has a love for all music. He believes that all music tells the same story, but just in different languages. Everyone experiences the feelings and emotions of music, though they may be different things to make us feel and express them in different ways. Tyree can take all those emotions and feeling and wrap them up into an outstanding musical performance. He takes each song and pours not only his heart and soul, but his pure love for the art of music. At this point ladies and gentlemen, is where music truly begins.

As a solo artist, he has the accompaniment of the So Jazzy Band to contribute to the entire artistry. When you hear the bone crushing rhythmic beats, sensitive and intricate vocals, flared and flavored with guitar strings, this only creates the joys of love and life through music. Tyree takes and uses the stage as a playground that holds no limitation. His lyrics will always remain true to his southern roots, yet embracing the essence of harmonious life and love.

Coldrank - "Three"

I used to have two, now I'm taking care of three:  got a wife, the other woman, and my sidepiece. What??? Have we fallen so low that we're singing and broadcasting about the wrong we're doing? You know, there was a time when you kept fidelity between you, your sidepiece, and the Lord.  Coldrank says he already has a woman at home and another one he loves on the side. He already has two house notes and he's barely getting by.  His wife knows about his sidepiece and his sidepiece knows about his wife, but if they found about his new one, he could lose everything in his life.  Umph, umph, umph (in my best grandma's voice - lol lol)

In spite of the lyrics and the message, the melody of this song is really good and I love this singer's voice.

Jj Thames - "Leftovers"

Oh, do I love this song! First, Jj Thames has a beautiful voice.  I can hear her singing the blues, jazz, and everything else. I think she's just that versatile. Secondly, the message is awesome.  She said that she doesn't want anyone's leftovers and that the best way for her to receive blessings is to be happy for you. She says "I don’t do leftovers, girl I want my own.  You ain’t got to worry, your man ain’t who I want."  If I could stand up and cheer I would. lol  She knows that in this day and age everybody cheats, everybody creeps, and they all chew off more than they can eat!  Well said!!  But she tells the girl that she isn’t the one that she needs to worry about! Hmm, what do you think of that!?!

Here's part of Jj Thames bio as taken from the Reverbnation website (https://www.reverbnation.com/jjthames).  Read the rest of her interesting background when you get a chance!
Mixing R&B, funk, Motown, and soul with strong blues and gospel vocals, and tossing in ska and reggae rhythms for occasional seasoning, JJ Thames has a powerful stage presence, and more than enough talent to back it up as a songwriter and as a performer. Her story reads like a classic Hollywood biopic, full of early joys, tragic losses, and a seemingly predestined turn to music as a career. Thames (pronounced "Timms") was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where she showed musical ability early in childhood, and with her parents' blue-collar support, grew up singing and studying music, specifically piano and classical and jazz vocal technique.

This song is rising on the southern soul charts!
