Blues Critic's List of the 100 Best Contemporary Southern Soul Albums

Have you ever checked out the Blues Critic website?  They have a list of the 100 best contemporary southern soul albums from 1994 - 2020 - their list is based on the opinions of the Blues Critic Staff.  If you get a chance, go through it and see all of the artists.

As I scrolled through, it made me realize how many wonderful southern soul artists that are out there.  Some are classics and some are contemporary.  If you get a chance, review the list and let me know what you think!

I often travel up and down I-85 and, to the dismay of my passengers, I would put this song on repeat and let it roll...and roll! lol  I absolutely love Lynn White and Willie Clayton together on this song.

Jesse Graham - "Same Place, Same Time"

I have loved this song for a long, long time.  I think it's beautiful, just listen to the words.  It was released way back in 1994 but it is timeless to me.  

Jesse Graham also recorded "Mr. Mailman" which is another oldie but goodie.
