Chuck Strong - "In a Coma"

It's been a minute since we've heard from Chuck Strong and he came back, ahem, strong!  The radio stations in south central Alabama have been playing this a lot.

"In A Coma" is a story about a man who says he's not going to be a fool for his girl anymore.

So, I thought he was actually in a coma but I think it's just a metaphor as to what he was feeling.  He met this girl and was deep in love three months after he met her.  He was so in love that he did all the things that a woman would like for her man to do.

He said that he paid her light bill, gas bill, car note, rent, and even took her kids shopping.  She gave him what he wanted and he took care of all her needs at first but 12 years later, he finds that he's in love all by himself.  He feels betrayed.  He says that she really played him and that she wouldn't let him hold or embrace her, wouldn't kiss her, there was no foreplay, and no affection in his direction.

Now, his eyes are wide open after being with her for 12 years and she doesn't deserve his love.  It's all over and he says he doesn't need her any more.

This man is hurt!!! What a sad song!
